The FilterLogic FFL-160M cartridge has been designed as a compatible to the UKF8001AXX but will also work in any fridge freezer that requires the now discontinued UKF9001AXX cartridge.
The FFL-160M offers indistinguishable performance to the manufacturer's original thanks to its use of high-grade sintered carbon block. Chlorine, sediment and dissolved organics are effectively removed from mains water and the result is clean, crisp water that is free from unwelcome tastes and odours, and hard to tell apart from shop bought bottled water.
The cartridge fits inside the fridge compartment, usually to the top right, and there is a housing which opens up 'like a crocodile's mouth' into which the cartridge is inserted horizontally. It is used commonly in Maytag, Amana and Admiral branded appliances, all of which are current trading names of Whirlpool Europe.
The FFL-160M fits many fridge models and model numbers such as Amana, Maytag, Admiral and Gaggenau.
