The cartridge houses granular activated carbon which effectively reduces taste and odour in water, making it more enjoyable to drink.
The cartridge is incredibly easy to fit and will last approximately 6 months before needing to be replaced. We even have a helpful email reminder and reorder service you can subscribe to so that your replacement cartridge will always be with you for when it is needed.

The instructions were straightforward and both nylon cable ties and an alternative wall mounted plastic clip was provided to retain the cannister. The clip is good as it makes replacement easier than cutting off the old cable ties.
The previous cannister used did not have plastic plugs for insertion into the ends of the water piping and there were no problems with crushing of the pipe ends. The new cannister came with plugs but this has resulted in a significant reduction in the water flow through the pipes - this prevents the highest rating being given. Overall satisfaction is positive however.
