The cartridge houses granular activated carbon which effectively reduces taste and odour in water, making it more enjoyable to drink.
The cartridge is incredibly easy to fit and will last approximately 6 months before needing to be replaced. We even have a helpful email reminder and reorder service you can subscribe to so that your replacement cartridge will always be with you for when it is needed.

Recognising that "too tight" is as bad as "too loose". I gently tightened to the point where the seeping did not stop.
It is not a leak as the water just lays on the top of the cartridge, which is fitted in a vertical position. Wipe the water away and the water returns but, does not leak any further. There are no drips from the water laying at the top, it merely lays there.
You very kindly forwarded a replacement cartridge, which I have still to fit.
